Babies grow astonishingly fast — most double their birth weight by five months. Here's how to buy clothes that fit today and still fit next month.
How our sizes run
Minko sizes follow age bands, from newborn right through to eight years: 0–3M, 3–6M, 6–12M, 12–18M, 1–2Y, 2–3Y, 3–4Y, 4–5Y, 5–6Y, 6–7Y and 7–8Y. Not every style comes in every band, so each product page lists what's available for that piece, along with a full chart of weight and height ranges — because age alone can mislead. A tall three-month-old may already need 3–6M.
Measure, don't guess
Weight is the most reliable guide for rompers and bodysuits; height matters most for frocks and dresses and kurta sets. For older children, check the garment chest and length measurements we list under each size chart. If you know both, you'll almost never buy the wrong size.
When in doubt, size up
A slightly roomy romper is comfortable and lasts a season; a tight one is outgrown in weeks. Imported fabrics like ours are pre-washed to minimise shrinking, so the size you buy is the size that stays. This matters most with knitwear, which should sit over other layers rather than cling, and with padded jackets, which need room for a sweater underneath.
Buying as a gift?
Choose 6–12M. New parents receive plenty of newborn sizes and run out of the bigger ones just as the baby reaches them — your gift arrives exactly on time. Our gift sets are boxed and ready to hand over.
Still unsure? Message us with your child's weight and height and we'll pick the size for you.
